ٹرٹل آئی لینڈ، میرا گھر، میرا وطن
بے دردی سے لوٹا کھسوٹا، تار تار کیا گیا وطن
ہماری تاریخ کو بس “ایک لمحہ” بتایا گیا اور
جبرِ مسلسل کو جزاء  بتلایا گیا
ہماری رُوحوں کو عقوبت گاہوں میں قید کر کے مہمانوں نے اپنے قیام کو طویل تر کیا
یہاں تک کہ میرے اجداد کے آنسوؤں نے نیا گرا بھر دیا
اور ان کی روحیں پکار اُٹھیں
ہمیں جینے کا حق دو۔۔۔ یوں جیسے  کہ ہم ہیں
تاریکی سے نکل آؤ اور تقسیم کے نت نئے جواز مت کھوجو
ابلیسی سوچوں کو اس سرزمین سے باہر نکال پھینکو، جنہوں نے ہماری نقرئی رنگوں کو منجمند کر دیا ہے
کینیڈا کا *موزیک کوئی سیال برتن ہے نہ ہی کوئی*ملیگن سٹیو
زمانہ قدیم سے *سودیشی اقوام اور *اصناف انسانی قوسِ قزح اور ریت کے ذرّوں کی طرح باہم رہتے چلے آئے تھے
ہمارے راستوں کو سچائی اور مفاہمت کی روشنی سے منور کر دو
ہم دوکیوس ں کی مانند اس بحرِ بے کراں کی لہروں کے دوش پہ رواں رہ سکتے ہیں
ہمارا وقت مختصر ہے اور ہمارے دن محض نمبرہیں۔
آؤ محبت، برداشت اور نسلی مساوات کے ساتھ بسر کریں
کہ ہم لمحاتی تسلسل سے بندھی ” کارپورل ویسل ” کے سوا کچھ بھی نہیں
بالکل اس طرح جس طرح ہماری گزری نسلیں  بندھی تھیں!

There is a belief that Canada celebrates all nationalities (Mosaic definition-a picture or pattern produced by arranging together small colored pieces of hard material, such as stone, tile, or glass) All these cultures and nations form Canada. Unlike the melting pot (The US way of assimilation-where you lose your culture and become American) -Mulligan Stew is a soup where you can identify all the vegetables added(Canadian version of assimilation-you are mixed up in the cultural pot but you retain your cultural heritage and can display it happily for everyone to see) What I am saying is neither is true. Only French Canadian or British have that right.

Rainbow of nations refers to the hundreds of Indigenous nations that existed in Canada since time immemorial. They were too numerous to count- like the grains of sands – and exist today integrated into society through marriage-intermarriage and etc. Two spirited -refers to LGBTQ+ people.
